The 9:01 Entrance Gate is adjacent to Robinson Street, which is on the Memorial's east side. It is one of two gates framing the moment of destruction - 9:02 on April 19. The west gate represents 9:03.

The Old Journal Record Building appears in the background with the Field Of Empty Chairs in the foreground. This building will be transformed into the Memorial Center.

The foreground shows the Field of Empty Chairs with the Journal Record Building in the background. The 168 chairs represent the lives lost.
