The Leave No Trace program promotes the preservation of natural, cultural, and historical resources.

The Leave No Trace program represents a continuing effort to educate the public about an outdoor ethic. Promoting the preservation and conservation of our American wilderness is the backbone of this ethic. It also represents a very important goal of the National Park Service...awareness, appreciation and respect for the natural, cultural, and historic treasures for all citizens to enjoy, both for us and for future generations.
