Storytime at the Obed

WARTBURG, Tennessee:The Obed Wild and Scenic River continues to host a Preschool Storytime event every Friday morning, beginning at 10:30 a.m. (EST). Storytime should last for about 30 minutes. The event takes place at the Obed visitor center, located at 208 North Maiden Street in downtown Wartburg. All preschool children (and their parents or guardians) are invited to attend. Children are encouraged to bring their favorite book to be read by a Ranger and a pillow or blanket if desired. This is a free event, and no reservations are required. Did you know that the Obed is one of several Wild and Scenic Rivers in the National Park System? Some of the others include the Rio Grande River (Texas), the the Little Pee Dee River (North and South Carolina), and the Escalante River (Utah).
