WARTBURG, Tennessee: The Obed Wild and Scenic River will be hosting a Tom Sawyer Day Program at noon, 12:00 p.m. (EDT) on Thursday, July 4th. This event will take place at the Nemo Day Use Area. Bring a lunch and drinks and join us for a day of fun and games. The program will consist of competitive games for the children. Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 places in each event. This event is free to the public and awards will be given to children 13 and under. Participants will need to bring fishing poles, tackle and bait for the fishing contest. Participants who have reached the age of 13 years old will need a Tennessee Fishing License. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This program will conclude at approximately 4 p.m. (EDT).
