WARTBURG, Tennessee:The Obed Wild and Scenic River will be hosting a Critters in the Creek program on Saturday, June 22nd. Join Ranger Chance in a search for macroinvertebrates in the Emory River. She will demonstrate how these tiny creatures can be used to determine the quality of the water and discuss how pollution can affect our watershed. All ages are encouraged to attend. Participants should meet at the Nemo Day Use Area at noon. (EDT). Water friendly clothes and shoes are strongly recommended. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

 

This is a free program open to the public and no reservations are necessary. For more information call the park Visitor Center at 423-346-6294.
