The Obed Wild and Scenic River will be having an Animal Tracks program on Saturday, June 30th, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (EST) at the Obed Visitor Center in Wartburg. Using plaster molds, participants will create the tracks of various animals and learn how to identify them by their prints. This is a free event and no reservations are necessary. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The Obed Visitor Center is located at 208 North Maiden Street in downtown Wartburg.
Did You Know?
Did you know that when Native Americans first came across the Obed, they realized that the ground was too steep for settlement and too rough for farming? They did, however, rely on the Obed for hunting, and used the bluffs for shelter.
