Photo Contest Winners Announced

WARTBURG, Tennessee:The Obed Wild and Scenic River recently awarded the winners of the park's 2013 photo contest. Michael Foster of Elgin received top honors in the Artistic category. Ken Jordan of Crossville received top honors in the Fauna category. Mark Lange of Knoxville received top honors in the Landscape category, and Hans Christen of Knoxville received top honors in the Flora category. Special Mention awards were presented to Larry Coffey of Stearns, Kentucky, Michael Foster, Marialice Wilson of Wartburg, and Tom Wood of McMinnville. The People's Choice Award was presented to Ken Hamby Jr of Lancing. The winning photography is on display at the Obed Wild and Scenic River Visitor Center located at 208 North Maiden Street in Wartburg, Tennessee.
Park visitors are encouraged to begin taking photographs now for the 2014 Photo Contest. We will begin accepting entries for next year's photo contest March 22, 2014 with a cutoff date of July 22, 2014. Next Year's reception is planned for August 22.
