Explore Your National Parks: Historic Places was developed by the staff of the Teaching with Historic Places program of the National Park Service's National Register of Historic Places. The original kit was made available by the National Park Foundation through generous funding by Target Stores, a division of the Dayton Hudson Corporation; and the The Eureka Company. Special thanks to Discovery Channel for their assistance with the video that was included in the printed version of the kit.

Project Team:
National Park Service, National Register of Historic Places: Carol D. Shull, Keeper of the National Register, and Beth M. Boland, Teaching with Historic Places director.

National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers: Brenda K. Olio, project coordinator and editor; Bill Wright, web version coordinator.

National Park Foundation: Jill Nicoll and Colleen Smith.

Design and Production of Printed Kit: Target Stores, a division of the Dayton Hudson Corporation.

Others who have provided technical support for this kit include Kerri Rubman, Marilyn Harper, Beth Savage, Sarah Dillard Pope, and Nathan Poe. We would also like to thank those who have contributed to the success of the Teaching with Historic Places program, especially the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Kathleen Hunter, Fay Metcalf, the National Park Service's Parks as Classroom program, the many lesson plan authors, and Jackdaw Publications.
