    Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park Junior Ranger/Park Clean Up Day - Explore NPS careers, learn about the different jobs that rangers do and work alongside park staff and volunteers to clean up the park. Contact: Maureen Finnerty. April 25

    Colorado National Monument Junior Ranger Day/Gateway to the Great Outdoors - Third and fourth grade students rotate through 11 interactive activity stations hosted by park staff, Mesa County Search and Rescue, Colorado Division of Wildlife, Colorado Youth Conservation Corps, REI and federal interagency wildland firefighters. Students and teachers travel in groups of 25-30 through the stations, to learn what goes on behind the scenes at the monument. April 24

    Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site King for Kids: Live Like a King - Through hands-on activity stations, children can learn the family values, academics, intellectual skills and responsibilities that developed Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. into a Civil Rights leader; 10 a.m. at the Fire Station.     Ocmulgee National Monument Junior Ranger Day and Earth Day events - Kids learn to protect the environment through activies; 10 a.m. Make clay pottery like the Mississippian Indians. April 18

    Haleakala National Park Junior Ranger Day - Free park entry for children and their families with a Junior Ranger badge from any NPS site and free to children/families who come to earn their Haleakala badge this day. A 3 p.m. swearing-in ceremony with cake and short interpretive program. Evening star program offered on an "invitation-only" basis (i.e. especially for Junior Rangers). April 25

    Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park Junior Ranger Day and Book release - Hawai`i Island National Parks Junior Ranger Adventure Book highlights all five national park units on the island of Hawai‘i.
