The North Country Trail is built and maintained primarily by volunteers. Volunteers are continually developing new trail segments, improving existing segments and obtaining landowners permission for the trail to cross their land. Did You Know?
The eastern most point of the North Country National Scenic Trail is located at Crown Point State Historic Site in New York. Crown Point was a French, then a British fort. It was the setting for several novels by Kenneth Roberts including Northwest Passage and Rabble in Arms.
