Photo of Mackinac Island

Did You Know?
That Mackinac Island became America's second national park in 1875. It remained a national park until it was transferred to the State of Michigan in 1895. Yellowstone became the first national park in 1872. The island can be viewed from the North Country National Scenic Trail.
