The interpretive staff at North Cascades National Park present a wide variety of programs. Enhance your Stehekin experience by participating in one or several National Park Service Ranger programs. Topics and presenters vary. Please check at the Golden West Visitor Center for more details.

Naturalist Talks (20 minutes)
Daily, June 11 - September 25
Enjoy a short talk featuring special natural or cultural history topics. Great educational opportunity during your layover in Stehekin!

Evening Programs (45 minutes)
Fridays and Saturdays only June 3 - June 11.
Daily June 17 - September 10
Fridays and Saturdays only September 16th - 24th.
Evening programs on a multitude of topics will provoke and inspire you.

Buckner Orchard Tour (1 hour)
Thursdays - Sundays, June 30 - September 25
Travel back 100 years in time with a park ranger on a walking tour of a historic, working apple orchard. Meet the ranger at the Old School. Inquire about the Shuttle’s “Orchard Special” fare.

Early Bird Walk (1 hour)
Saturdays and Sundays, July - August
Enjoy a morning stroll and discover some of the birds that frequent the North Cascades. Be prepared for an easy walk of less than a mile. Dress for the weather, and bring binoculars, water, and a snack. Meet at the Stehekin Landing Resort front deck.

Junior Ranger Activity (45 minutes)
Thursday - Sunday, July - August
Childern 5-12 years of age can uncover the secrets of this special place through hands-on exploration, crafts and learning activities. Become a Junior Ranger!
