NATURALIST TALKS (20 minutes)
Enjoy a short talk featuring special natural or cultural history topics. Great educational opportunity during your layover in Stehekin!

EVENING PROGRAMS (1 hour)
Evening programs on a multitude of topics will provoke and inspire you.
Daily June 19 - September 12
Fridays and Saturdays only September 18th - 26th.
BUCKNER ORCHARD WALK (1 hour)
Travel back 100 years on a guided walk into the historic Buckner Orchard. Meet a ranger at the original one room Stehekin School. Hear stories of the hard work, fun and ingenuity that made the Buckner Orchard an American treasure. 2:15 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
IMUS CREEK TRAIL WALK (1-2 hours)
Take in the beauty of the surrounding mountains, streams, and forest while you learn about the area's natural and cultural history from an NPS naturalist. Be prepared for at least a mile hike with a moderate grade. Wear sturdy footware, dress for the weather, and bring water and a snack.
Fridays - Sundays, July 3 - September 13
JUNIOR RANGER ACTIVITY (2 hours)
Childern 5-12 years of age can uncover the secrets of this special place through hands-on exploration, crafts and learning activities. Become a Junior Ranger!
Saturdays, June 23 - September 1
EARLY BIRD WALK (1-2 hours)
Enjoy a morning stroll and discover some of the birds that frequent the North Cascades. Be prepared for an easy walk of less than a mile. Dress for the weather, and bring binoculars, water, and a snack.

Did You Know?
The North Cascades are named after the abundant waterfalls that lace the mountains. Two of the best known waterfalls are Gorge Falls between Newhalem and Diablo along State Route 20 and Rainbow Falls in the Stehekin Valley.
