Summer 2011 Skagit District Program Schedule

Evening Programs
8:30pm Thu - Mon: Colonial Creek Campground Amphitheater
8:30pm Fri & Sat: Newhalem Creek Campground Amphitheater
Join a ranger for a 30 minute illustrated program that explores one of the many fascinating stories of North Cascades National Park. Look for program topic announcements in park campgrounds.

Junior Ranger Programs
10am Sat: Colonial Creek Campground Amphitheater
Kids of all ages can join a ranger for a 2 hour program filled with fun activities that earn participants a junior ranger badge. Parents are encouraged to participate and must remain with those under 10.

Exploration Tables
10am & 1pm Thu - Mon: North Cascades NP Visitor Center
Stop by and find a ranger at a hands-on exploration table to discover new ideas about park and its resources.

Mountain Musings
12am & 3pm Thu - Mon: North Cascades NP Visitor Center
Join a ranger for a 10 minute talk and introduce yourself to the park by learning about a topic related to its significance.

Diablo Rangers
2pm - 4pm Thu - Mon: Diablo Lake Overlook
Find a ranger stationed at the popular overlook to chat about the surrounding peaks and the unique waters of the North Cascades.

Historic Newhalem Walking Tours
11am and 2pm Wed - Mon: Skagit Information Center
Step back in time to learn about the historic town site and surrounding attractions.

Diablo Lake Boat Tours (Fee)
Fri - Sun
Cruise Diablo Lake with a Park Ranger and a North Cascades Institute Naturalist. Lunch included.

Skagit Expeditions (Fee)
Fri - Sun
Enjoy an adventurous field day with a Park Ranger and a North Cascades Institute Naturalist. Lunch included.
