River Cleanups
Each year two river clean-ups are offered:one in the spring and one in the fall. The annual Spring River Clean-up is sponsored by the Niobrara Council and is held in May. This event involves the opportunity to drive, walk along or float the river and gather litter from the banks or water surface. A BBQ follows the clean-up. In the fall the Niobrara River Outfitters Association sponsors a Fall River Clean-up and holds a potluck afterwards.

Other annual events include March for the Parks, National Parks Week events and a National Public Lands Day event. Please contact the Valentine Ranger Station for additional information if you are interested in attending an event or helping out.
