Elementary school children learn about the complexity of the food pyramid

Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge has a Junior Ranger program ($1.00 fee) Upon completion of the program kids receive a badge, have their photo taken, a newsletter and a 15% discount on book store items.

The Niobrara Council sponsors day camps for elementary aged children in the summer. Contact them at (402) 376-2793.

The NPS will provide ranger led programs for school groups and organizations by request with sufficient notice and depending upon staff availability. Contact them at (402) 376-1901.
