Volunteer

Today's volunteers are active, dynamic, creative individuals of all ages who possess the skills, desire, patience, and time to accomplish a wide variety of tasks and to become part of the National Park Service community. Volunteers are, without a doubt, Very-Important-People!

There are many opportunities to volunteer at Nicodemus National Historic Site. They include preservation and maintenance of cultural and natural resources, histroric and cultural research, working in the visitor center, office/clerical work, and developing interpretive programs. You may volunteer at Nicodemus National Historic Site by submitting a Volunteer application online or mailing it to:

Did You Know?

AME Church

Members of the African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) started the church initially in a dugout in 1878. The present limestone church was purchased from the Mt. Pleasant congregation.
