historic preservation. Many non-Federal programs of national
scope provide assistance to stewards of historic properties.
Monitoring Conditions and Integrity
The National Park Service monitors the
condition of National Historic Landmarks. The latest information
may be found in the online database under Search for an NHL
and in the biennial updates under News in the homepage.

The National Park Service produces a wide
variety of technical publications to assist the public in caring
for their historic properties.

Network Newsletter
The National Park Service published this
newsletter for stewards and friends of NHLs from 1998 through
2002. Some issues are archived in PDF format.

National Historic Landmarks
The National Maritime Initiative provides
in-depth information about National Historic Landmark vessels
and lighthouses.
