________________________________ Study Background and Purpose We established a research project to clarify human dimensions of white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) issues in National Park Service (NPS) units in the northeastern U.S. as part of a cooperative agreement between the NPS Biological Resource Management Division (BRMD) and Cornell Universitys Human Dimensions Research Unit (HDRU) in the Department of Natural Resources.
