Honorable Mention

Diane T. Liggett's photo of rainbow over Hubbell Trading Post

Hubbell Trading Post
Ganado, Arizona
Photographer: Diane T. Liggett

Time and weather were on her side when Ms. Liggett captured this photo of a rainbow seemingly springing from this National Historic Landmark.

During the heyday of the Indian trader, this was one of the most important trading posts in the American Southwest. Established in the 1870's the still-operating post represents the varied interactions of Navajos and traders on their reservation. In addition to the actual post, or store, this National historic Site includes the 1890s Hubbell house.
