Glen Jean, West Virginia, November 16, 2016—The walkway to the Main Overlook at Grandview is undergoing repairs and will be temporarily closed until construction is completed. This closure will go into effect immediately and last for approximately the next three weeks. During this time, there will be no access to the Main Overlook. All other overlooks at Grandview will remain open. Visitors are encouraged to take a short walk to North Overlook;less than one half mile on the Grandview Rim Trail, which starts at the path to Main Overlook. North Overlook can also be accessed from a path from picnic shelter number one. Or check out the Turkey Spur Overlook, where the National Park Service recently renovated the boardwalk that climbs to the overlook, which provides dramatic views in two different directions.
