Early Settlers in the New River Gorge Region

Program Description

Students become a pioneer family to learn what they need and how to survive as new settlers in the New River Gorge region. Some students will dress in period clothing.

Available to schools in:Greenbrier, Monroe, Raleigh & Summers counties

Grade Level: 4^th

Program Length: 1 hour

2. List three ways that early settlers lived in the New River Gorge

3. State one way he or she can preserve our cultural heritage
