The New Junior Rangers line up after a day of hard work to show off their certificates. These kids worked through cold and rain just like the first soldiers of Fort Stanwix and they learned all the skills that they did too!
"How I Helped the American Revolution" was the day's theme. These kids began by learning one of a soldier's most imortant jobs: Drill Duty. A real soldier would have practiced for 8 hours, they did for 1/2 hour. But it makes perfect!
The recruits learn about a second job as they are guided to their next post: Guard Duty. They keep a look out for deserters and those that may have besieged the fort. But it looks as if things are well under control today!
