General Robert O. Tyler and staff. Tyler is in the large stove pipe hat. Tyler commanded the Army of the Potomac's Artillery Reserve, until mid 1864. tyler then commanded many of the heavy artillerymen, who served as infantry in the Overland Campaign.
Army of the Potomac Chief of Staff Brigadier General Andrew Humphreys. Humphreys became Chief of Staff following the Battle of Gettysburg. Prior to his promotion, Humphreys commanded a division in the Union 5th Army Corps and 3rd Army Corps.
