The National Park Service often partners with other  agencies to monitor and study its resources. During this half-hour illustrated talk inside the Fire Island Lighthouse Fresnel Lens Building, you can discover how a number of federal agencies are working together to better understand coastal processes and hazards at Fire Island National Seashore.  Learn more about an ongoing study conducted by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers to better understand how the beaches are changing and what is making them change.
