Park sites exist on varied geography consisting of mountains, plains, prairies, and river corridors. The natural features extend across most of the eastern pacific northwest, through the north central Rocky Mountains, and into the great plains.

Did You Know?
Camas, a relative of the lily family, has been gathered by the Nez Perce for generations. The bulbs are rich in protein and are still prepared and blessed according to traditional practices.
