There are hundreds of books and articles on the Nez Perce people, their history, and culture. The Nez Perce National Historic Trail offers a comprehensive, annotated bibliography of Nez Perce history and, in particular, the Nez Perce War.

We have some books available for sale through the web and provided a link to the virtual book store. The park has a research center with a non-lending library for those who would like to do indepth research on the Nez Perce.

Did You Know?
In 1994 the Idaho Fish and Game Department drained Tolo Lake, a site of Nez Perce National Historical Park, for a restoration project. In the lake bottom, six to eight Columbian mammoth skeletons were found. A replica skeleton is on display in Grangeville, Idaho
