Management

The National Park Service administers the New England National Scenic Trail (NET) and works with partners to implement trail stewardship. The principal stewards of the NET are the Connecticut Forest and Park Association (CFPA) in Connecticut and the Western Massachusetts Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) in Massachusetts.

A Trail Stewardship Council (TSC) has also been assembled in both Connecticut and Massachusetts to guide implementation of the trail's key planning documents listed below.
