- The park is located in Virginia, 32 miles south of Washington, DC and 22 miles north of Fredericksburg. From I-95, take exit 150 and follow signs to the park entrance.

- Prince William Forest Park named for the county in which it is located is the greatest expanse of Piedmont forest in the National Park System and the largest natural park area in the metropolitan Washington area. It's 17,000 acres offer the visitor endless opportunites including hiking, biking, cross country skiing, camping, wildlife watching, environmental education programs and more!
- How to Get More Information
- Prince William Forest Park is open daily; the park closes at dark to all but registered campers. An annual park pass is available. For information on all the activities within the park please feel free to write the:
