The National Capital Region is conducting numerous planning projects. There are four General Management Plans underway: Manassas National Battlefield Park, Mary McLeod Bethune Council House, Prince William Forest Park and rock Creek Park and Rock Creek and Potomac Parkway. Management Studies underway include: Anacostia Park and Civil War Defenses of Washington. We have just completed the General Management Plan for Wolf Trap Farm Park.
As you can see on the left of your screen, we have included links to ongoing projects within the region as well as links to other sites pertaining to planning. The NPS Planning Program links you to the Park Planning home page where you will find other links to sites such as on projects throughout the service and policy guidelines.The NEPA link takes you to the National Park Service's NPS 12 policy guideline (National Environmental Policy Act) currently under review.
