The Office of Stewardship and Partnerships
The Historic Architecture staff are committed to saving the important historic places of the National Capitol Region. Our job within the organization is to support and assist the park and regional office managers in their responsibility to protect, preserve and maintain National Park Service heritage areas in good condition. We provide historic architectural and landscape services to meet a range of park preservation needs.

Preservation architect, landscape architects, architectural historians, and landscape historians work in the program. Expertise not available in our office is supplemented by contract with private firms in engineering, architecture, and landscape architecture who specialize in historic preservation.
