Description: Constructed a new multi-purpose community center.

Project Name: Seven Recreation Sites

Federal Share: $329,155

Fiscal Year: 1983

Description: Westside Community Center - renovated heating/air conditioning system, replaced stucco, and repaired interior of center. Rio Grande Pool - resurfaced deck and swimming pool tank, upgraded the locker rooms. Tom Tenorio Park - repaved park road, installed new lights, and replaced fencing. East San Jose Community Center - repaired lighting and heating and air conditioning systems. Barelas Community Center - renovated roof, floors, heating/air conditioning systems, and restrooms. Los Duranes Park Community Center - added a new multi-purpose room to the center. Well Park Community Center - renovated exterior of center building and installed new lighting in the gym.

Project Name: Monica Roybal Center

Federal Share: $300,000

Fiscal Year: 2001

Description: Recreation center improvements include new roof, lighting and electrical, restroom upgrades, windows, kitchen, and varous other space improvements.
