Description: Renovated electric fountain and bankshell, stabalized lake retainer wall and railing, relocated water main, repaired horseshoe court and restrooms.

Federal Share: $510,000

Fiscal Year: 1983

Description: Clayton/Skyland Park - renovated tennis courts and sprinkler system. Northside Ballfield, renovated ballfield, repaired benches and dugout, and installed new fencing. Elyria Park - replaced playground equipment and fencing, and resurfaced ball court. Shafer Park - resurfaced ballcourt, renovated restrooms, and constructed a new bike path. Rude Park - replaced scoreboard, public address system, and renovated restrooms. Curtis Park - repaired irrigation system, renovated restrooms and walkways. Argo Park - repaired bleachers, dugout, installed new playground equipment, fencing and lighting. Nairobi Park - installed new picnic tables and benches, repaired walkways, ballfield, and irrigation system. Russell Sequare Park - installed new playground equipment and repaired walkways. Dunham Park - replaced playground equipment, basketball backboards, water fountains, and irrigation system.

Fiscal Year: 1992

Description: An after school and weekend program for youth ages 7 to 18. It included basketball clinics, leagues and tournaments, swimming instruction and organized swim teams, weekend long-distance cycling, and computer literacy classes at two recreation centers in key neighborhoods. These programs were supplemented by workshops on a variety of self-help topics ranging from better study habits to drug and crime prevention.

Description: Bradford Park - renovated two tennis courts, a ballfield, irrigation system, and installed new lighting system. Risley Middle School Park - renovated ballfield, irrigation system, landscape improvements, and new lighting system. Beulah Heights Elementary School Park - renovated ballfields and irrigation system, and installed new playground equipment. Span Elementary School Park - renovated ballfields and irrigation system.
