Summer hours: The summer season starts May 26, 2013 and ends September 07, 2013. The visitor center is open 8 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. everyday. Both Sunset View and Canyon View campgrounds are open. Sunset View has water. The three short rim trails are open Sandal Trail, Aspen Trail and Canyon View Trail. Longer hikes to Betatakin and Keet Seel are available daily. During the summer season we go on Daylight Saving Times which is one hour ahead of Mountain Standard Time (MST). We will be back on Mountain Standard Time (MST) on Sunday, November 03, 2013. Winter hours: The winter season starts September 07, 2013 and ends May 26, 2014. The visitor center is open 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. every day. Sunset View campground will be open, as will the three self-guided overlook trails Sandal Trail, Aspen Trail and Canyon View Trail . Did You Know?
Most pueblo villages in Tsegi canyon were built in the canyon bottoms or on the mesa tops. Over the past seven centuries wind, rain, and snow has reduced them to piles of rubble. Most of the cliff pueblos survive because they were built in alcoves.
