Pearl is an inspiring story of a legendary Chickasaw woman who became the youngest licensed pilot in American history. The film was the recipient of the Best of Show award at the 2009 Indie Fest, among other awards. The story of Eula "Pearl" Carter Scott embodies the national theme for Women's History Month, "Women Inspiring Innovation through Imagination-Celebrating Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics." It also reflects the rich cultural history of the Natchez Trace.
