The National Park Service (NPS) has prepared draft Statements of Findings (SOFs) for Wetlands and Floodplains for Multi-use Trail Segment 3P19 - A Bridge Over County Line Road and Trail from 200 Feet West of County Line Road to Milepost 96.0 (Approximately from Milepost 95.0 to Milepost 96.0).The SOFs are available for review from December 8 through December 23, 2011.They have been prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, Director's Order 77-1, and Executive Orders 11990 and 11988.The SOFs provide guidance in determining appropriate mitigation for potential impacts to wetlands and floodplains as a result of trail construction.

This 1-mile portion of a planned 21-mile, multi-use trail will follow the alignment identified in the September 1995 Multi-Use Trail Study Environmental Assessment, Jackson, Mississippi, Natchez Trace Parkway, subject to changes identified during design and approved by the NPS.In a 1996 Finding of No Significant Impact, the NPS approved the preferred alternative for building a multi-use trail on park lands in the Jackson, Mississippi metropolitan area. The NPS considers public involvement to be an important component to a successful planning process, and we appreciate your interest and involvement.
