Portion of National Scenic Trail Near Tupelo Closed to Hikers
Part of the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail (NOT the Parkway) near Tupelo, MS, has been closed until 2015 due to construction under Tupelo's Major Thoroughfare Construction Project. Parkway travelers may expect delays, but no detours are expected. More »

Curriculum Materials
The Natchez Trace Parkway has lesson plans K-12, covering most subjects. We specialize in the history of the areas of Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee during the late 1700s to the 20th century. Our science lessons focus on environment, habitat, animal classification, ecology and stream studies. Our web pages are being updated, lesson plans can be easily accessed from the For Teachers page.
