Description

Hernando de Soto Encampment

Your class is invited to the Natchez Trace Parkway Visitor Center, Tupelo, Mississippi.

Move through four stations to hear stories, see demonstrations, and participate in hands-on activities. September 19th & 20th, 2013

Programs are at 9:00 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. 

De Soto camped in the Tupelo area during the winter of 1540-1541. 

All activities are free of charge; reservations are required.

 

Bus money is available, thanks to a grant from the National Park Foundation and Disney.

All activities are outdoors.

Space is limited and reservations are required. To make reservations for your class, please contact Amy Genke at 662-680-4053, or amy_genke@nps.gov
