In honor of March`s designation as Women`s History Month, Homestead National Monument of America will host a special program on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. and again at 3:00 p.m. Nationally recognized storyteller and actress Pippa White of Lincoln, Nebraska, will present a program entitled "Woman`s Work." This one-woman show examines immigrant pioneer grandmothers, Rosie the Riveter, factory workers, newspaper reporters, and other women of the historical and modern American work forces. Both humorous and touching, Pippa White`s performance will reinforce the important roles women have always played in society and history.

"Women`s History Month is an opportune time for us to host Pippa White," said Mark Engler, Superintendent of Homestead National Monument of America. "Her performances are always educational and entertaining, and we look forward to having her back at the monument to commemorate the importance of women to our nation`s history."
