Weather and Climate

Winter-time at Muir Woods is filled with rainy days. On average the park receives up to 40 inches of rain during the winter months. Although the Summer months are dry, the forest is layered in fog, which keeps the park cool and moist year round. Daytime temperatures at Muir Woods average between 40 and 70 degrees Farenheit.
