  • Progress on the Memorandum of Understanding
  • Construction of parking barriers and improved parking enforcement
  • Planning for the Muir Woods Reservation System
  • Frank Valley Road improvements
  • Brief update on proposed Muir Woods site improvements and Redwood Creek watershed restoration

The last public meeting was held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, and was organized by Congressman Jared Huffman. The purpose of the meeting was to share with the public the outline of a draft Memorandum of Understanding between the County of Marin, the National Park Service, and members of an ad-hoc groupcreated by the Congressman to come to a consensus on an approach to addressing traffic and congestion in the area of Muir Woods National Monument.

Public Scoping was initiated on September 4, 2013, followed by the first public meeting on September 18, 2013. A second informational meeting was held on June 18, 2014. During the Question and Answer period, project managers referred to the National Parks Conservation Association's State of the Parks report about Muir Woods.
