Jacket

Confederate uniform coat of gray wool with blue trim also referred to as a Columbus Depot Style Jacket. Originally had six buttons. One pocket on the left front side as-well-as an inside pocket on the right side. The coat belonged to Private Michael Jackson Jones, who served with Company H, 1st Missouri Infantry. Private Jones was wearing the coat when he received a disabling wound at Champion Hill on May 16, 1863.
