Mounted Cow Skeleton
Tuskegee Institute National Historic Site
TUIN 1815

A skeleton found in the Institute's storage was identified as the same illustrated in the photograph of Carver and his students. Although the photograph is labeled "cow and calf," it is probably the same skeleton featured above. The skeleton was assembled by two biology students. During the course of the exercise, they learned anatomy and developed a useful learning tool for other students.
