Belt Pouches

These two beaded pouches are identified as “strike-a-lite” pouches. They include “lane stitched” (lazy stitch) seed beads and rolled tin cone “tinklers” or “jingles” that are still popular today. The pouches are testimony to the brisk trade of material culture between the Columbia River Plateau and northern Great Plains.
