Baby Blanket

1943
Made by Mrs. Tomita

Woolen army blankets were issued to all. However wool was very scratchy and not appropriate for babies. Mothers, aunts, grandmothers and friends made blankets for babies. This blanket was knitted by Mrs. Tomita for Lynne Sugimoto, who was born at Manzanar on June 16, 1943, the daughter of Anna Uta and Dan Shigeru Sugimoto.
