Evil Deeds and Evil Consequences was given as a Christmas present to Charles Ridgely, Jr. (1853-1873) in 1857 by his great, great Uncle Otho Eichelberger, who perhaps felt the four year old needed some firm admonition. The remarkable and vivid illustrations and stories might scare a child into good behavior.
