This elegant serving piece bears a mark printed in purple used by the Coalport factory only in the early 1820s: a circle of laurel leaves surrounding "COALPORT/ Feltspar/ Porcelain" and in an outer circle, "The Gold Medal Awarded May 30 1820 Patronized by the Society of Arts."
