c. 1897

In an album dated 1897 kept by Capt. John Ridgely’s sister-in-law Helen Morris Tucker Ridgely, wife of his brother Howard, are a wide variety of snapshots of Ridgely family and friends at Hampton and on excursions. One journey to a northern city was on this luxuriously appointed train car. Other images show travel by horse drawn coaches, smaller carriages, baby-buggies, and wicker push-carts along the boardwalk at a resort.
