1847-1870
Geneva, Switzerland; Ducommun-Girod

This music box plays “musique mandolin” tunes from operas by Bellini and Verdi and waltzes by Labitzky. It is recorded in family journals that the Ridgelys attended the opera while living in Paris in 1847-1848, so it seems likely that they purchased this music box at that time.
