This book was originally owned by Eliza Eichelberger Ridgely’s first cousin Johanna Clemm. Along with other members of Eliza’s family, she occasionally lived at Hampton during the summers in the 1830s and 1840s.

Sheet Music Anthology
1790-1820

Eliza Eichelberger Ridgely and her aunt Henrietta Eichelberger were nearly the same age and both very interested in music. They had many pieces of sheet music for piano and voice custom-bound into this book bearing their names in gold lettering.
